Principals, superintendents, mentors, and teacher coaches and leaders who support new teachers,

 Want to give new teachers the time and professional guidance needed become expert teachers? Join us for a day of networking, engaging breakout sessions, and a compelling keynote speaker who will share best practices and principles for developing and supporting new teachers in your district. 

Keynote speaker Debra Eckerman Pitton, author of Supporting Teacher Development: New Skills for Principals in Supervision and Evaluation, will kick-off the morning by sharing these research-based strategies that support new teachers: 

  • Creating environments that support on-going teacher learning

  • Communication that enhances mentoring

  • Gathering data and providing feedback

Afternoon sessions, led by Minnesota district leaders, will explore mentoring, induction programs, support systems, recruiting and retention, and reflective practices that accelerate teacher effectiveness for the benefit of our students.
